Template slot — this is a shallow case by design (see Foundations §6): keep this short

[What made simplifying to 19 screens hard without losing the expert foragers — e.g. safety-critical identification steps that can't be cut.]

What shipped
Rebuilt app on iOS and Android, 41 screens to 19, launched ahead of the 2023 foraging season.
What I know
Store rating moved from 3.1 to 4.4 over the following season. I don't have usage analytics — the client didn't run them, and I didn't push hard enough for them.
What I don't know
Whether simplification cost expert foragers anything. The two who emailed said no; two is not a number.
09 · Reflection
One short block, signed
[What would you do differently, knowing what you know now — the outcome above (no usage analytics) is a natural place to start.]
